Re: Lithium Fire on Cargo Ship
I'm currently having a problem at hotels refusing to store my battery-electric mountain bike (on advice from the fire brigade) but I can't stay if the bike is not in secure overnight storage with an electrical socket. Older bikes had removable batteries that could be carried into room (no control by...

Re: Which EV charger offers best future proofing
Best future-proofing might be an extra 100mm flexible duct in the trench.

Re: solo PV - geo/Green Energy Options
I also had the inconvenience of owning a Solo3 when GEO of Cambridge unilaterally discontinued service. The display issued with smart meters is similar, but I never found an equal replacement for the Solo. I really don't know why GEO dumped it (unilaterally breaking faith with their customers who had...

Re: Adding a timer to an EV charge point
Hello Mr. Gus,
I no longer have the e-Up (a great city car)! - it was replaced by an MG5 (surprisingly good!)
My question relates to upgrading the old Polar charger with a smart Din Rail time switch. These are available from Amazon but not (it seems) from main UK electrical distributors.

Adding a timer to an EV charge point
I have a Polar dumb charger since 2014 and I would like to install a DIN Rail time stitch - wifi ones are available, but are they advisable?

Re: external battery enclosure
This morning I received my quote from puredrive's nominated installer, just shy of £10k for a 10kw(sic) battery (and possibly inverter I think though I had made it clear I wanted it on the DC side of the propose hybrid inverter, not ac coupled). My quote for 10kW of PureDrive + Solis DC hybrid inve...
