Re: Well done Dundee CC
MFG seems to be very proactive in rolling out chargers to their existing portfolio of petrol stations. I've found they always work with either of our two cars, they are on Electroverse, and they usually install six or eight units which helps give some confidence that you'll find one available witho...

Re: Well done Dundee CC
Got to admit I am a bit non-plussed by the lack of EV chargers available at existing petrol stations, as I originally thought that they would be quick to install the odd unit at least to keep customers, but we don't see that much if at all around here, the closest is I think a BP service station ov...

Re: offering charging space
We are listed with CoCharger and Zapmap, but so far with zero interest from the latter! My experience is the opposite - nothing from CoCharger but lots from Zapmap. I expect it's 'cos about 40% of the properties in my village are now full or part-time holiday lets and they get here and realise ther...

Re: Anyone a member of a driveway charging scheme?
I get quite a few requests via ZapMap to use my charger, usually during the summer/holiday periods as the village has a lot of holiday lets but no chargers other than mine!
Works fine; I get them to pay via PayPal.

Octopus Go renewal
What's the best method to get a decent response out of Octopus? I've been with them nearly three years now - switched to them, they quickly put in a smart meter and I've been on Go ever since. My current Go tariff expires on the 2nd March - not had any contact from them regarding options etc. so ema...

Re: Ubitricity introduces smart charging tariff
This seems a good idea. https://ubitricity.com/en/press-releases/ubitricity-rolls-out-smart-charging-to-uk-network/ I was visiting my daughter in Kentish Town over the weekend and when connecting up to a lamppost was offered this - it was about 3:50pm at the time so I accepted and left the car to c...

Octopus tariff change notification?
My current Go tariff expires on the 2nd March. Haven't had anything from Octopus by email to show me my options nor is there any notification anywhere that I can see on the website or app. Do they normally send notification or do I assume I'll just get dropped onto the variable tariff and hence need...

That works out as approximately £300 more on my average yearly generation. Very welcome.

System leak
My ASHP (commissioned in October) has developed a leak somewhere. I'm having to top up the system every 30 minutes but no sign of a PRV leak or a leak anywhere else for that matter which leads me to think that the existing CH pipework might have an issue. Given the amount of fluid I've put into the ...
