Ecodan Forum?
Rather than ask dumb questions here which have probably been answered elsewhere, can anyone recommend a Ecodan ASHP forum? My new system is currently wired via a Heatmiser as one zone from the FTC6's point of view but two radiator zones externally each controlled by a Nest. I'm thinking of using the...

New radiators for ASHP
Committed now to my ASHP install as the £5k BUS voucher has been approved and I've paid the deposit. My quote includes a nominal sum for the supply of new radiators to be revised depending on what we decide to go for. Having looked online, there seems to be a huge range of options plus a debate on w...

Re: MG4 pricing
As an MG5 owner and very happy with it, I suspect the MG4 might replace my wife's Zoe next year when the lease is up.

Declared voltage at connection
Finally got my ASHP quote through (for an Ecodan R32 and not Vaillant as originally assumed) and one of the forms I need to fill (for DNO approval I believe) is the declared voltage at connection. What is that? I monitor my voltage every 10s and it peaks around a maximum of 246V (on the CU side of m...

Recommendations for monitoring ASHP?
I monitor all my existing systems using kit from the OpenEnergyMonitor people and it works really well. Just in the process of getting a quote for an ASHP install (which I'll almost certainly accept and go with) and need to know what sort of kit is best to monitor such a thing as I assume things suc...

Re: Charging to 100% and regaining lost range
Presumably it's balancing the cells and hence the increase in capacity.
Far too much fretting about battery management and maximising range with EVs; just use it as you would an ICE car and enjoy the experience.

Re: condensing boiler inlet water maximum temperature
Also at the flow rates required for DHW I don't think an "inline" electric heater is going to be that good. I would think longer term and get a large storage tank - call it what you want - thermal store or what ever, but get a big one with two immersions and for most of the year a decent ...

Re: Solar diverter that plays nice with battery storage?
I have an Eddi now - the original Immersun went bang before I got my batteries - and I do exactly as commented above i.e. set the minimum export and even if the Eddi kicks in first after a transient house load, the battery inverter will then kick in because it sees that export and will take it, the ...

Seems we'll be getting 7.5% from spreadsheet just published.
