Re: ASHP & triple glazing
Andy, if it helps any. Pinefield came in £2,500 dearer and that's without a front door in their quote. Yeah I wonder if they have increased prices. The new quote seems quite a bit more than my last one. One way to find out. Kenny, Stevie & Mikie are all excellent. I shall try and give them a sh...

Re: ASHP & triple glazing
I'm getting our last windows done as well. The rats have free entry through the frame they chewed threw :< I might have missed, did you post the u-values of the windows you having installed? My first quote back resulted in a big gulp compared to a few years ago. Did you have negotiating room with t...

Re: Myenergi would love to hear my thoughts - NOT
Unfortunately I’ve found the software getting more flakey as time has gone on and more products are added. I still have weirdness as the zappi and Eddie handover. All meaningless in a minute as I’m waiting for my deemed export to get cancelled
At least the Eddie broke even last year.

Re: ASHP & triple glazing
I'm slightly confused how the two work. Both companies appear to do the whole product, ie a window frame and glass. So you pick and mixed between them?
Frustratingly the place that really needs decent insulation is the living room and I've done those windows already.

Myenergi would love to hear my thoughts - NOT
I wasn't sure which forum to drop this in. Since it has a lot to do with diverting solar I've popped it here. This morning I got an email from myenergi which started like this Hi Andrew, As a valued myenergi customer, we’d love to hear your thoughts! We’re running a short survey about you and your e...

Re: Controlling Pylontech charge rate and target SOC for Sunny Island overnight charging
I'd likely do both. I'd calculate an average current required over the time of the cheap rate and also change the soc of charge sent to the inverter so it definitely stops the charge at the required SOC. ( Thinking though, you could actually do that in the control mechanism to set the charge rate a...

Re: Idiot's guide to a self build battery
A relay based system? I’m not sure how long they would last opening and closing under load though. https://electronics.stackexchange.com/questions/442780/how-to-block-reverse-current-from-battery-to-charger-dc-buck-cc-cv-module I wind the current down to zero before disconnecting my eltek and that’s...
