Re: generator over voltage

Hi Justme, sounds like a dud meter or something to me as you say "it reads OK at the inverter". I am thinking that if the inverter accepts the voltage then it must be OK :?:

Re: Hot water tank

Aye and a well insulated thermal store doesn't lose efficiency with age or deep discharge. With heating and DHW being your greatest energy demand it makes sense to store surplus as hot water rather than electrons

Re: power from a stream.

Its not unusual to have a boundary down the centre of a body of water and to own the land under that body of water but not necessarily own nor have rights to the water that flows over it. Its a great idea but I would urge caution and ensure you are aware of all interests, rights and regulatory fram...

Re: "Mr Brains" faggots

Nice work Safety third, I started my butchering journey over thirty years ago with a hind on the kitchen table  and a copy of Mrs Beaton's cookbook wedged open at an illustration of cuts of beef. Around 15 years ago joining the digital age with my laptop playing 'Pig in a day with Hugh and Ray'...

Re: What are the options ? Seized petrol geni

Hi Moxi, it's a PoS Honda lookalike of the type purveyed out of the back of a white Transit van by shady Dudes that Tarmac driveways. I have the exact same one, bought by a friend for her sister years ago and despite being brand new and sitting in her shed for years unused it never worked. The paint...

Re: viable wind

Hi Billi, unless you have a good site with clean wind and unrestricted views there are no viable wind turbines. With a good site you can't beat a Proven https://sd-windenergy.com/ or SD as they call themselves now but they're hardly 'viable' when compared to PV My first 2.5kW Proven is still churnin...
