Knighty ------- your link looks good ......need to measage bearing boys (deal alot with them) and check mouning hole distances etc but looks good....
Smegal -- thanks but needs be face mount too.........
nothing against machine mark (do use them) but not in my list of quality suppliers......

Any motor procurement experts here ........

Need a supplier of non OEM eletric motors. Its for a milk pump buts thats not hugely important....... Its a foot mounted single phase motor with flange for connection to impellor assembly. I have googled the plate info but with little success. From memory trying to source before its an oversized mot...

When you try to reset the MCB does it make a big "splat" itself and fail to latch? if so obviously you do have a pretty serious short somewhere, if no splat but just fails to latch it might be a knackered MCB itself, fairly rare but not unknown. If you have unplugged and switched off ever...

oooo early for peas tho ?? Thinking will plant a lot of broadbeans in trays ..........v old seed but got lots...... Need to look in seed tin for chilli and tom seeds ........ itching to plant ....... Seeing as today the sunrise is officially <8.00am and its still light at 5pm how is everyone doing with planting stuff ? I've got garlic up in modules -planted 6wks ago. No broad beans up yet -planted same time but v old seed .......... Thinking time to get propagator out and start toms and chillis ...

Id say our site is not windy enough for a proven - they need really windy sites. We get periods of windy weather here, where it is consistently 20-40mph, and thats generally when we don't have much PV power. But we do get a lot of calm days too. The cable jointing kits (although good) look bulky.......
Think i wll measure cable OD and get correct heat shrink -say 200mm length , then fix cable with join rigidly fixed in milking parlour.

Can't replace cable - sealed milk meter. Current probably 4/5w only. CAT cable too flimsy.........

Hi folks , suggestions please ........... need to join a 4 core flexible cable (too short) -probably .5mm cross section . Low voltage 12v plus data. Joint needs to be water proof (ish) and robust.
