Seems a huge waste of power potential to me, but as low leccy users, lots of batteries and panels im over specced for the winter. Goal being no leccy bill all year bar standing charges. Have had discussions with neighbour about throwing a suitable extension lead over the wall to his to power his imm...

Just looking at electric / solar data today ... May import = 4.1 kwh /day -so far. Solic immersion managed 145 litres at 82c.... so 2 adult showers and shallow child bath........FREE. Saw uk demand at approx 28Gw all day . This morning we were burning a little coal but the biggest input was solar. Tonight wind has picked up a little , demand is similar, gas is up as solar drops....BUT coal is off and we have some Oil and OCGT going ????? thought this was the dearest and only brou...

Thank you all for suggestions....... Think i'm going to look at drilling from the other side with a sleeved (new) drill bit . We stock bosch bits at work and they are quite good. Sure if i use a say 5mm drill bit sleeved in a short piece of pipe ?? i may be able to drill right through from the rever...

It is the bit circled in blue.
If i could reomve the yaw bearing assembly i could drill through from the other side as the other removed bolt is 180 degress.
The cable in the center is the problem.
Just a thought i wonder if i could sleeve the drill bit so it didnt chew the wire ??
