Re: Self build in Lincolnshire…..

Ok, so today’s status is that I have a DPD tracking number from Colin in China who tells me they have been shipped. It’s not showing on there as yet though. 45 days from yesterday will make delivery during the 1st week of January. Given that I need to make space for them, I’ve started that activity ...

Re: Idiot's guide to a self build battery

Thanks 👍 I’ll think I’ll take an actual voltage that isn’t the LEDs off “100”, maybe slightly less than that. Or even wait for the Pylons to drop down to whatever the Chinese stack is at before throwing the Frankenstein switch. It’s all quite some time away however, and I have lots & lots of pre...

Re: Idiot's guide to a self build battery

The reason I’ve replied to this particular post relates to the voltage of the fully charged Pylon stack - which Joe has stated for him is 52.9 volts @ 100%. So I’ve just measured mine (as it’s just finished charging using Go Faster). I only have 50.8 volts. My config is a LuxPower 3600 ACS with 5 x...

That's the buckboard power supply professionaly cabletied to a bit of old board. Ran it up, tried the pot, all good. https://i.postimg.cc/pyLMrtWx/20220915-152348.jpg Decided to check out the top voltage on the Pylontechs. My batteries slowdown considerably after 88% soc, they can charge there for ...

Re: Self build in Lincolnshire…..

So, it’s started! Batteries ordered, just waiting confirmation & then the big wait. Excellent dialogue with Colin, who turned the quote etc round within hours. I’ll be busy though in making space for them. I currently have 10 Pylon US2000s arranged in 2 x stacks of 5. Plan is still to have 2 st...

Self build battery - precautions…..

Hi, Whilst I’m pondering if/how to proceed with this, a thought entered my mind about safety issues surrounding such a build. Whilst an off the shelf battery, eg Pylon etc, will cost more £, it does come with a number of safety related attributes such as CE marking etc, which a self build can’t. Thi...

Re: Nowty Towers Vs UK Grid Storage

3.8kWh here! Battery capacity ran out, ie 10%, at 6pm due to prolonged use of tumble dryer by daughter whilst we were out 😕

That was despite charging to 100% last night on Go Faster.

I think I need more battery capacity 🤐
