Re: Heat pumps in their many glorious guises in Camelot V home.

I've got every kind of heat pump going! (I think) At home, weve got an 8kW Vailant GSHP that was installed when the house was built 10 years ago, then i installed a 5kw Daikin A2A HP when we added an extension in 2020. Also have a Hoover HP tumbler dryer. In my work crash pad I had a 5kW Daikin A2W ...

Re: Balcony solar PV

Actually, it seems the 2000 unit doesnt have the wifi/DTU integrated, so even if I had an account, logging into the app wouldn't get me very far. I've got a Shelly 16A power monitoring PM mini gen3 unit spare so I'll wire that into the AC feed and measure that way. Would've been nice the see what ea...

Re: Balcony solar PV

This seems to be as good a place as any to ask. I've just connected my Hoymiles 2000-4T to the AC grid supply, no panels connected yet, still waiting for fixings and brackets. Went to download the S-miles app, and have just discovered I need an installer account to get into it. So, how do we set the...

Re: Spring has sprung?

Best ever for me today, was perfect (since recording the totals 4 months ago) of 64.97kWh. Hopefully can break 70 soon. Got 4 more 450W panels too add somewhere which will help, 80 perhaps?

Re: Outbuildings and why they're great. (Vanport)

Any tips, hmm, make it square! Mine is a trapezoid shape in order to fit in between the garage and house, so the only level timber is the big beam across the front, every other timber is a different slope and different length, no 2 were the same as they are sloping across the trapezoid and none para...

Re: Outbuildings and why they're great. (Vanport)

In between Bodmin and Lostwithiel, side of the Fowey valley, nice and exposed but lovely views on a misty morning.

Get modifying, only one chance to maximise area and orientation and get those panels up there!

Can't beat a carport for some added roof area :D

Same as Joe, I wasn't too concerned about lift, all sides open and some serious weight with all the timber & panels involved.

Re: Good price panels

Thanks for all the suggestions. I've come to the same conclusion Nowty, once you add delivery costs to everyone else, nothing beats City with their free delivery for a small order.

Re: Good price panels

I've just ordered a Hoymiles HMS-2000-4T to add 4 panels somewhere around our house (minor problem I'll sort out alter :D ), next is cheap panels. Unfortunately I'm nowhere near the north west, so are City Plumbing still the best source for 4 cheap panels, or is there somewhere else worth looking at?
