If scale is interesting, here's another YouTube video. An 80kW ASHP for a castle!

Re: Storage Heaters

Two 12kW heat pumps but not a normal house! https://youtu.be/9hVgzvkujM0?si=0IgaC9iFPf7j2xhH Sure. I can totally imagine an enourmo mansion with a pool might need 2x 12kW HPs! Wonder what the DNO had to say about that? As far as I can see, the two heat pumps are powered by an off-grid inverter tied...

Re: Intelligent Octopus Go

Is the zappi generous with off peak schedules? I need to change the TM3 at the end of this month and a charger where o can charge multiple vehicles would be a lot more convenient but if I lose the extra off peak schedules it’s more beneficial to swap for a TMY LR. I think it's the same as any IOG i...

Re: Intelligent Octopus Go

Yes. I charge both my I-PACE and e-Golf. You set up for the larger battery of the two vehicles and then pro-rata the charge you need for the smaller battery. A bit of a faff, but I can usually get close to what I want when charging the e-Golf. I could probably automate this with Home Assistant if I ...

Re: Intelligent Octopus Go

Do we not suppose that Octopus development ppl will be monitoring this and every other discussion forum that mentions them? I can't claim any more inside information about this than anyone else, but one of the MyEnergi support staff on the Intelligent Octopus Zappi Integration Facebook group says t...

Was at a Harvey's Brewery tour a couple of months ago. Was thinking of plugging in, only to find it's limited to an hour.

Re: Brisitshvolt to be liquidated

I'm frequently in large central London data centres and less often in one of the very largest in the country. I very rarely see anyone else on the data centre floors. Aside from front of house/security and in-house infrastructure teams (and perhaps very light remote hands), they're very lightly staf...

Re: Intelligent Octopus Go

Behind the scenes, the scheduling is now completely different. In the most expensive half hour slot I now see lots of little "mini slots" of energy like 0.13kWh, 1.2kWh, 0.35kWh starting and stopping at per-minute intervals, and the scheduling is a lot more dynamic overall. The couple of c...

I-PACE will pull more than 100kW in the right conditions. I've seen 118kW; not a lot more, but a useful 20% extra.
