I've just realised... in stead of water coming out of it, it could well have been filling up
we've not sorted land drainage yet - when there's long or heavy rain there's a steam running off that grass area
if it's been filling then soaking away, that could have left it full of mud/silt/whatever

Re: what is this thing in my garden?
it's weird it looks like muddy/dirty water has been coming out of it... maybe it's disconnected now? I'll stick something a bit longer down it and see if that valve is closed it's in a weird position, we have a stopcock on the lane past our house, that's about 80m away from the house, that hydrant i...

I've got no idea what is it it looks like muddy water has come up it, I'm ...

Re: The rebirth of Volta Trucks
I think the problem for electric truck manufacturers is there's not much chassis wise different between a diesel and an electric truck, it's pretty easy for existing diesel manufacturers to swap to electric so it;s hard for electric only people to compete

Re: Solar mandatory for newbuild from 2027
I drive past some new builds with solar on them... they all look pretty terrible, loads of shading etc. there's a pair of houses on their own, semi detached - a pair of houses sharing one wall but then open space on the opposite side gable end looks out front/back so there's a valley in the roofs be...

photo of your setup/wiring?
are you happy poking around inside? - maybe drop it down to 10% soc and then check cell voltages?

Re: Outbuildings and why they're great. (Vanport)
Looking at post holiday works I reckon i'll be looking to get the ledger plate up and on at the gable end. I've never used resin fixed bolts before but reckon that will be the way to go? https://rawlplug.co.uk/product/r-kem-ii-with-threaded-rods-for-concrete/ that's good stuff, I've used loads of i...

I'd take any figures coming out of Pakistan with a very large pinch of salt..... (as I would a lot of other places)

Re: Nowty Towers DIY Battery Project
I have 115kwh of Nissan leaf cells, but I'm planning to have a lot more that that, I'll end up with high amp loads but still low C rates mostly worried about overnight temps dipping below zero, or extended times in winter below zero (north east England) shipping container with an A2A system might be...

Re: Nowty Towers DIY Battery Project
don't want to jump on your thread but silly to start a new one... how's the temperature where you keep your batteries ? building a workshop for mine, I'm a bit worried they cold in winter will do them no good.... before I install them it wouldn't be too big of a deal to box them in a bit to control ...
