Re: New ground array
Yeah I found this doc which shows the reduction in current for 2 strings. The current will be 13ish max so with the labels generating about 300ishV, should be fine. It was already wired with just a single break in the cables by the official electricians when they installed it year and half ago and ...

Re: New ground array
Have you got the manufactures instructions for that isolator? I would just double check as often they are required to break one leg more than once.

Re: Volt Typhoon: the ‘defining threat of our generation’
I use solar assistant on my growatt, works much more reliably than the stick did, simple guide online worked perfectly, recommended.
As a side note my growatt account had constant password reset requests.

Re: Help with crimping battery cables
Just use the next dies down, you may end up with wings, you can file or hammer these flat easy enough. I have done this for a living and it was common practice, shouldn’t be, but was. You cannot really blame the crimper, the dies should ideally be same brand as lugs but also some cable comes up smal...

Re: UK Wind Record
Good point Nowty, I’d hope the intention is that these tests prove the concept and it’s rolled out to all suppliers and the incentives become generous enough to get many more onboard, a tenfold increase, possible, I know very few people aware, let alone actively participating.

Re: UK Wind Record
Might be best to stagger the times by supplier rather than area, less likely to cause localised issues.

Re: Part ownership of a Ripple Wind Turbine, fancy it?
The guys at ripple will know more than me, the decisions will be purely financial but if the investors were a little more educated and enough of them let feelings known that better equipment now will pay dividends in the long run then perhaps the choice could be swayed slightly, although that’s prob...

Re: Part ownership of a Ripple Wind Turbine, fancy it?
Sungrow are pretty big, I believe Voltalia used them in the new park south of Yeovil and the one near Dorchester, both 50MW iirc. However I wouldn’t consider them a premium brand, I was hoping for SMA really. So long as they carry spares and Sungrow can supply everything from UK stock then shouldn’t...

I’ve heard Derril Water is going with Sungrow inverters, does anyone know?
