When they go wrong
Was driving from Rennes to somewhere 😂 and spotted the below, looks like it was very recent as it looked like engineers were on site and there was a clean up crew in the farmers field picking up leftovers. Not the greatest of pictures but you can see burnt top blade. https://i.postimg.cc/zVcVSLdc/IM...

Re: Large Solar Panels - Availability
City electrical have Risen Titan 550w for just under £72 each, I am probably looking to buy 20 and they have 180 in stock at the moment. You need an account which I have and they did query about mcs registration but I know the manager so shouldn't be an issue. Screenshot_2024-03-27-18-22-15-290_com....

Re: Sunsync Hybrid Inverter + Storage
Sig says Off Grid 20 out of 24hrs . Whatever that means in practice. I would have thought the DNO may not like 2 x 5.5kW inverters even for only 4 hours in 24. With my current setup I purely use an off grid inverter which can not export at all, it's set to solar battery only but if there isn't sola...

Re: Sunsync Hybrid Inverter + Storage
Don't have to inform the DNO of anything if it's off grid though. Not sure if dlw is off grid or not judging by his last post. Sig says Off Grid 20 out of 24hrs . Whatever that means in practice. Re: Sunsync Hybrid Inverter + Storage
I'm thinking of getting a couple of the Sunsync 5.5kw inverters, they can be linked so this would give 11kw for my house, I currently have 8kw and my wife has managed to max it out a few times which then makes it trip and turn my house off (full off-grid mode) and my current inverter is noisy with t...

Re: Battery go Kabooom
No mention of a battery management system. The system owner is an electronics technician specializing in energy and building services, with 20 years of professional experience. I hope that he installed it properly, with suitable fuses etc as well as a good BMS. One of the batteries is quoted as a &...

Re: Nowty Towers Vs UK Grid Storage
Just going through the signup and you can say you don't have a charger which is strange but you can't say you don't have a car. Yeah I can put a 0% finance through my ltd and pay either 0 or 2% benefit in kind but I just purchased a 2nd hand van so not sure if I can get away with it, at least my pro...
