Re: Octopus Free Power Hours
I'm still awaiting the credit for the last one, they decided I'd used only 2p extra. Email to chase that and copied to Greg, I'll wait and see before I use any extra this time. This is exactly the same as me. I used £2.46 extra and only received 2p credit for the 21-08-24 session. I gave 31aug sess...

Re: Nowty Towers Vs UK Grid Storage
In that case wouldn't it be possible to have a current transformer on the live to the car charger to sense and start charging the home battery (or storage heater) ? A CT could probably be used as a trigger in lieu of the Octopus integration to do the same thing, but boost charging or solar charging...

Re: Nowty Towers Vs UK Grid Storage
The change over of the five timer slots is usually within 5 seconds of the car starting or ending a cheap-slot charge. In that case wouldn't it be possible to have a current transformer on the live to the car charger to sense and start charging the home battery (or storage heater) ? A CT could prob...

Re: Nowty Towers Vs UK Grid Storage
I hate the half hour gaps as it requires more re-programming of my battery inverter. I don't start until its a complete run. I think we spoke about this last year? The 6 hour window is enough for me (not by design intent, more luck and a fortunate confluence of power reductions thr...

Re: Octopus Smart Meter? Thoughts!!
Yes plenty room for the meter. Mine went in a few months ago, it annoyed that they removed my double pole isolation after the meter, but I’ll just wait until the next power cut and fit a new one Just email Octopus and ask them to fit one for you. I didn't have one before they fitted my smart meter ...

Re: Octopus saving sessions coming 1st Nov
Has anyone checked if there is a fair usage policy or a limit on how much in day adjustment we can clock up. I bottled out yesterday as I've just changed from the 5/ 10p go tariff to the 10/ 40.6p Intelligent tariff and the thought of purchasing leccy at over 40p a unit was beyond my comprehension. ...

Re: Retrofit Batteries & Overnight Charging
I was just about to pull the trigger on a Turbo Energy 5000 with 4x 5000 Pylontechs from ITS to go with my existing 4kW 2012 FIT system plus an additional 2.8kW of new panels into the DC side. However when I installed the app on my phone last night and set up a dummy plant I noticed the overnight ch...
