Re: Second PV system?
Have a solar I boost on the immersion heater that recently died and looking at an Eddi to replace it. EV probably a couple of years off but is the plan. Was thinking this would broaden the generation over the year rather than just the peak and if going to spend the money now don’t want to end up mak...

Re: Second PV system?
Thank you both. I was thinking I’d end up with 3 inverters and 2 separate battery systems: original PV inverter in the loft, ac inverter and battery in the downstairs cupboard with the generation meter for that PV system and then the hybrid inverter for the second PV with an additional battery attac...

Second PV system?
I’ve had solar PV on the south facing part of my roof since 2014 and get paid under the FIT scheme. Current system generates 4300-4400kwh a year on average. My immediate plan is to add an AC coupled inverter and battery to the existing system in the next couple of months. Is it possible to add a sec...

I’m coming late to this but it does look interesting. Have registered for WT3.

Re: Lux Power Squirrel Pod
Thanks for the info.
What was it that made you decide 3.6 wasn’t enough?
A friend of mine has had no issues with the givenergy setup and their Uk support is meant to be quite good. Just doesn’t lend itself to being as modular and seems a bit more expensive.

Re: Lux Power Squirrel Pod
Thanks
Do you need permission from the DNO if it is purely to store/power the house? I’m intending to leave the existing solar inverter unchanged.

Lux Power Squirrel Pod
Looking for some advice. I’m looking at getting a battery installed Q1 this year to complement an existing 4kw solar install and had been looking at the Giv Energy Bat9.5 and Giv AC 3.0 inverter. I’ve since read a bit about the Lux Squirrel pod where you have two inverter/battery stacks and can char...

Thanks for the replies - Go or Eco7 sound like they’ll be viable.
