I’m in a similar position with insulation. Have a survey next week to install cavity wall insulation in to the coldest part of the house. When we were in California last August, there were adverts everywhere advertising free power walls and solar.
Didn’t go into the figures bit I assume they work out free based on the returns they’ll make….

I think I’ll go for a similar amount as I did in DW as it is a better return.
It will take me over 7000 kWh but I used 20,000 kWh in 2023.
I wonder how they deal with exporting as I now probably use more but also export more.

I don’t have the back up system yet, but we don’t get many power cuts unless I trip our system or blow the main fuse :hysteria:
