Re: Hi from Bath

If your garden is suitably high why not cantilever a cable runner above pavement and head height level and drop vertically to the EV car parked, roadside ? It needn't be permanent just hung out when charging and retracted at all other times. Just an idea that might suit your location. Moxi This loo...

Re: Can I submit a G100 form myself?

Take the battery line out as it’s not an AC generating unit. You can put the battery capacity against the Hybrid inverter line. (I did not think DNO even asked about battery capacity before, DC side is non of their business) I would put the inverter line under proposed and leave the existing sectio...

Keeping woodpigeons off cherry tree

Does anyone have suggestions for how to keep the woodpigeons off my cherry tree? Other than pigeon pie ;) For the first year or two I had lots of really nice, bright red cherries from it. Then the woodpigeons learned that they could eat the buds/flowers/immature fruit and I've hardly had any since. ...

Re: My solar and batts

OK I'll bite. Why no airgap between batteries and why are they not rotated thru 90 clockwise from above to reduce cable runs and easier access to batteries/terminals? As to the loftboards repurposing....OK, not great BUT, why didn't you install a mounting board yourself if you knew they were coming...

Re: My solar and batts

Interesting renovation, well done sir! what does it bring you up to in terms of perceived insulation values as per the packet from /to? Thanks! I did some calculations, but it was a while ago so I can't remember now. How useful they'd be I don't know as the insulation layers aren't continuous, thou...

Re: Can I submit a G100 form myself?

the Solis comes with its own energy meter which is installed at the main incomer and has a CT clamp to measure power and import / export if exporting more than whatever the export limit is, it should throttle back the inverter ouput, the meter has a comms cable back to the inverter. Just had quick ...

Links are great if / when you have the time👍 Rejuvenation of housing stock is vital. I'll try and dig some out. In the meantime here I some I took and and a historic photo of construction. https://i.imgur.com/qwsu3BY.jpg Here's the wall lining board removed. You can see there is a 'duvet' of glassf...
