Re: Chernobyl cooling water lake.
I remember watching something on one of the streaming channels a while back called Uranium i think. Was very illuminating about its origins, the fact that aboriginal people of Australia own some of the largest deposits on earth..the rest is a bit of a blur now but did find it interesting at the time...

Re: Currently on Octopus Agile and Flexible for gas
A direct comparison from Agile Buddy website shows the average saving would be roughly £2 pm using intelligent go, I dont have an EV and a pure EV isnt on the cards for a variety of reasons. That means I'm on the best tariff Octopus can offer me right now. https://i.postimg.cc/GH9ffNrK/Screenshot-20...

Currently on Octopus Agile and Flexible for gas
I'm currently manually setting up battery charging on my Victron system and it doesnt feel that Agile is offering me as much savings as a fixed offpeak tariff to top up the batteries overnight. I'll spreadsheet it shortly but pretty sure the effort isnt worth the reward, I'm still not in a position ...

Re: To MCS or not to MCS

Re: To MCS or not to MCS
Also, I did read on the MCS site 'somewhere' that you might even need annual (or other I can't remember) inspection of your kit for continual MCS approval. Not sure if I just made that up or what but remember seeing something like that, so I thought I'd just keep the solar to myself. Not really what...

Re: To MCS or not to MCS
Sorry I'm a bit late to this thread, I tried several months back to get Octopus to recognise my system so that I could feed in any surplus I might have, it is unlikely that currently I'd have any unless I went off on holiday during the summer for a few months. However, I'm putting in another 2.3kWh ...

Re: Solar Freakin Walkways
They look lovely and marvelously shiney and mirror like, what could possibly go wrong..
Surely nobody would complain about being able to see up my Kilt (or dress as its been described before).

Re: Eng v Netherlands and the Grid
Not to mention the CO2 and pollution reduction as the towns and roads were deserted..
Mind you the lack of noticeable change during covid and the huge reductions in vehicles worldwide suggests the issues lie elsewhere.
