Re: ASHP & triple glazing
Looking good Joe! Those huge monoliths really do let a lot of light in. Makes the room feel more spacious too I’d wager… Cheers, the big units have skewed the perspective. The former big door set and light above it have now shrunk to a normal size. Once I've finished painting, cleaned everything an...

Re: ASHP & triple glazing
Got into just a wee bit of tomorrow's painting. Can feel the difference now that the sealing is done. My skin has longheld historical expectation of the temperature dipping in this room at this time. It's not happening! :praise: Wee detail shot or two. https://i.postimg.cc/7Y0NrJ2X/20250612-194327.j...

I asked today on the replacement glazing trap unit. It turns out that the factory in Eire didn't build to the sizes sent by Window supply co. That doesn't negate the lack of qa/qc at any stage or if its even true. On the upside, the house is now fully 3G'd, sealed etc. :) https://i.postimg.cc/bY7ZYZ...

Re: Outbuildings and why they're great. (Vanport)
Plumb a 25L jerry can under the ASHP to catch the condensate. Its distilled water, which is basically what RO is, just a different method of getting it. Great for all sorts, even putting in the iron, though limescale isnt exactly an issue up here. Have you thought of a triangular canopy style brack...

Re: Outbuildings and why they're great. (Vanport)
I'd been thinking about how to hold the two walkway used solar panels up in the air with no ground supports. I'm having a crack at putting together a set of diy glulam beams on a wall mounted rail. Once again I'm doing it from spares. In this case from spare engineered board from flooring out the lo...
