Re: Wine

I seem to remember that S04 & US05 were fast, reliable dried yeasts and ripped through a wort quickly. 05 was my choice before i went onto liquid yeasts.. Very clean, little diactyl, didn't drop too low so reasonable body remained.

Can also be used in wine or cider 🤔

Re: Outbuildings and why they're great. (Vanport)

Could do with a clean! https://i.postimg.cc/bZ8gghh8/20250523-132454.jpg Giving this place a go tonight, Brazilian meat restaurant. See ho...

Re: Part ownership of a Ripple Wind Turbine, fancy it?

Again Joeboy! Well, after our conversation I went for more PV instead of Ripple - good job too! I was never going to put more into 'Ripple' (have to find a new word) but I still believe fractioned renewable energy assets are the way forward for bringing the existing housing stock (non-passiv-renova...

Re: Wine

Two gallons of Elderflower started. Didn't,t have any wine yeast so used a mixture of bread yeast and saved beer dregs from my other post on beer yeast. Already starting to glug through air locks. https://i.postimg.cc/gnNKH1XY/IMG-20240612-WA0003.jpg Nice one George. I remember the sound of the air...

Re: ASHP & triple glazing

You'd think so, but I suspect not. Positive & upbeat!!  8-) I agree with you in both regards. Hoping it plays out, it is one less load on swmbo. I'd like that. The installers will keep me updated on any delivery progress. I can still see the scenario unfolding when something goes wro...

Re: ASHP & triple glazing

Latest date set for glazing going in and completing is now 10th to 13th June. At least swmbo will be in Turkey, stress free for her. :xl:

Surely they can fast track the second matching trapezoidal glazing unit in that time? :oO:

Outstanding day yesterday considering there was absolutely no gaming of slots, just let it roll. 8-)
