Re: Outbuildings and why they're great. (Vanport)

Very happy with the bbq area. It grew organically and was not in any way a part of the original plan. Re used fence pailings for the horizontal backboard Chucking it down now but tonight's bbq goes ahead! https://i.postimg.cc/2b1cGY5L/20250622-144150.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/N5sNCRLw/20250622-144251...

Re: Octopus Free Power Hours

Defo a narrowing of parameters for us. When i said to swmbo about the limits she immediately said plug the washing machine into the car this morning and run it down a bit. So I did! :D

Re: Outbuildings and why they're great. (Vanport)

At the risk of sounding risqué, managed to get it up. :xl: https://i.postimg.cc/hfYKddbc/20250621-113601.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/c6s1yZLy/20250621-115853.jpg Monday morning we'll do a little hole punching and get it chemically fixed. Aiming to have panels in place before France trip. Would be nice ...

Re: Van of enormous power Mk 4

I'm now extra excited for France Trip. SWMBO scored us a small 2 person four leg collapsible BBQ from Marketplace for £12. It fits in the rear external toolchest so no mess inside the habitation. I have this vision in my mind, on site, been for a walk into village got two steaks (Moo nae whinny), co...

Re: Hoymiles problem, or grid voltage too high?

Sounds good Joe - just to remind me - did you have to get an installer account by registering your HMS unit(s) while you were abroad? or getting someone else to register for you? I'd be happy to get one of those dongles if I can also get an installer account registered I registered while overseas b...

My parents had their roof replaced, and solar panels, so there was a pile of old rails left...

Re: Outbuildings and why they're great. (Vanport)

Rain canopy is ready to go up. Hopefully tomorrow. Built entirely from scrap/spare left overs from the vanport build. A bit of diy glulam, a bit of black wax and they look decent. The panels themselves are Yinty Years old and at least secondhand, might be third as the lady said her husband bought th...

Re: Hoymiles problem, or grid voltage too high?

Guys, To help close out the over voltage thing. I set up one more Hoymiles HMS 800 2T last week. To get it to register via the app I had to pick a location outside the UK for the unit. I chose Rome. Checked this morning while in Edinburgh and it had an overvoltage alarm. Slapped my own forehead as ...
