Re: Trevor Milton charged with Fraud
There is a scary explosion of fake news out there which is hugely damaging and dangerous, think anti vaxxers and etc. I am beginning to think that social meeja, sites need to have proof of identity before folk can spread the word and also be responsible for content they publish, to claim they are no...

Re: Part ownership of a Wind Turbine, fancy it?
Sorry for going slightly off topic, but.....
what if a bunch of people raised enough money to own a turbine outright, would that be possible, and say plug it in to an existing farm/grid connection?? Or a big PV array for that matter?
Any ideas?

Re: Farmers swapping crops for solar
Thanks for the input desp, how much are these in the UK & what were you using to get them turning steadily? Seems like these are what we should be using for a minimal scrape ground prep footprint ..a few holes to fill when the site is finished with compared to slab removal. They sell us a bar t...

Re: When will "climate change MITIGATION" move through building regs?
What easements on building control / planning permissions should we be pushing for to improve our homes & cut down / out the paperwork for climate mitigation within the home? (opinions please) Desp, what strikes you as do-able if it weren't for problems with council tangles that don't make much...

Re: Why JCB thinks that hydrogen is the best alternative to diesel for heavy machinery.
I'm gonna need a bit of time to fully understand this, but the conclusion seems to suggest heavy long distance trucks are going to be difficult to electrify, whereas truck under 26 tonnes particularly carrying high volume low mass loads are suitable with todays tech assuming a good charging infrastr...

Agreed Mart, H2 is horrible shit that should never have been invented.............. A rather silly attempt to undermine my position regarding H2 vehicles in this discussion, given my repeated support for, and belief in H2 as being a major part of achieving a 100% RE leccy future /quote] I can't bel...

Re: Farmers swapping crops for solar
Great things these, I've built a few garden offices on them, 75cm long with a load capacity of 430kG, and they can be wound in by hand on most soil types. We normally get the foundations done for a 6 by 6m timber frame building done in a day. It sounds ideal for a ground mount array.

Re: Why JCB thinks that hydrogen is the best alternative to diesel for heavy machinery.
Hallo Mart, the reason I refer to Chris Goodalls book is in reference to his basic idea that we hugely increase our wind and solar and with any spare we convert to H2 for any use we like, OK? Sure there will be scammers getting in the way of clear thinking, this whole subject is a minefield of scamm...
