Re: Mouse problem in poly tunnel
Defiantly mice, caught one yesterday in a trap and another today. We get the voles in the outside raised beds! They burrow around underground, with mini mole hills and carrots lying on their sides.

Mouse problem in poly tunnel
Having completed my polytunnel, I thought I had sorted the mouse problem that we have in the greenhouse, by wrapping the legs of the racks with very stiff plastic sheeting. But no, one got up there and happily dug up some young seedlings..and eat the missus's tulip bulbs.  I caught the ...

Re: infrared heating
I've installed two 1200 watt infrared panels in a shop that I recently refurbished, and they work brilliantly as long as you are standing underneath them. The ceiling is over 3 meters high. By installing a sheets over the entire ceiling, I imagine it would give a good uniform heat source. The big ad...

infrared heating
I have a few panels doing various heating jobs, but was interested in the thin foil infrared sheets as seen on Grand Designs last week. These sheets are pinned up between the joists behind the plasterboard. Sounds brilliant, but I can't find the product anywhere on a search. Anyone had experience us...

Re: rotate batteries?
Thanks all for your feedback. I have been around batteries, mostly on yachts, since the 1960's, first with ex submarine knife batteries, but mostly lead acid. Some large banks on the big sailing yachts, single cell in series to 120 volts. Since 2000, gel and AGM (one bank that melted, due to over ch...
