Re: Sofar me3000sp

Does the mixing of 302ah and 315ah batteries on the same inverter not pose a problem if they are the same voltage, but managed with independent bms's?! Ive always been of the school of thought mixing chemistries is a definative no no, and that mixing brands, different capacities and voltages is bad ...

Still waiting on my neighbour to get organised before we can demolish the existing shed and have the asbestos removed to start work on ours.

Re: Starting out on my heat pump journey

I think maybe what you are seeing is after the set temp is reached, and the pump has stopped pumping or at least condensing. The water will continue to circulate weakly via convection, and as it does , the return cools faster than the flow. I saw similar when i gave a blast of heat to the house the ...

Re: Sunsynk charging discrepancies.

Took me ages to get our sunsynk soc to mean anything about right. We’ve a fogstar batt, with 305Ah eve cells, and the sunsynk talks ok to the fogstar battery bms, and is on the Libms battery setting. I’m pretty confident even though the fogstar calculates soc itself and the sunsynk is connected to ...

Re: Sunsynk charging discrepancies.

Yes the spike was the heatpump for hot water kicking on. The inverter only allows 8kw ish passthrough currently so is reducing charging above that, which you can see in the charging dent that corresponds with the spike. Other than that as you can see, charging has been roughly the same level for the...

Re: Sunsynk charging discrepancies.

Have you accounted for LGD? LGD?! Losses i presume. The pack is balanced, its less than 1 year old, i cant imagine why a 7.5kw discrepancy would arise unless sunsynk app is wildly inaccurate. Checked actual battery bms's this morning and they are sat at 99% as the app suggests and balanced to withi...

Re: Sunsynk charging discrepancies.

So you do t think im totally off my rocker Past 3 days energy ive tried to align the selector bar in sunsynk to show SOC before charging. Sunsynk charging discrepancies.

2 nights ago, the battery was at 48% SOC (20.59kw) before charging started at 00:30, and managed to charge to 99% by 05:10, and 100% by 05:20. Charging rate was rrelatively stable the entire period at roughly 5.5kw/h for 5 hrs. Last night though, Battery was at 32% SOC (13.73kw) before charging star...
