Re: Part ownership of a Wind Turbine, fancy it?

The way I read that is only 10% of the 70% share for ripples part has been sold, circa 14% of ripples £24m target. With 1600 members that's an average of a bit over £2k each (sounds about right), so they will need about another 10,400 members. As a sanity check the average WT1 member bought a bit o...

Re: Part ownership of a Wind Turbine, fancy it?

I have today applied for enough watts to bring my expected annual kWhs to 120% * 6999. If asked, I can produce at least one electricity bill where the kWhs consumed during the month multiplied by 12 is greater than 7,000. Should suffice although it is possible that I might not sustain that level of ...

Re: Spreadsheet help !

The problem was the readings weren’t regular, sometimes there were several readings in a week and other times there were many months between readings. I built a function that looked back to the previous reading closest to 365 days ago then work out the difference between that and the current readin...

Re: Part ownership of a Wind Turbine, fancy it?

The WT2 financial assumptions are very conservative. Wholesale price of 6.3 versus 6.5 for WT1 in its offer document. It seems that they have not updated it for the last six months price rises. To be honest, the whole offer document looks pretty amateurish: Tax treatment - at least spell out the unc...

Re: Part ownership of a Wind Turbine, fancy it?

2) Taxation - I'm sure with WT1 Ripple alluded to the non-capital return as being treated as interest and potentially covered by the personal savings allowance. With WT2 they're now talking about using the annual trading allowance which is a different beast entirely. My reading of that is that anyo...

Re: Spreadsheet help !

However the word 'periodically' might complicate things. That’s why I only do monthly readings manually. The rest is done at 5 second intervals into an influx db. I’ve never had the time to get any useful summaries. Also the flakey WiFi in the garage means I frequently lose data. One day I’ll sort ...

Re: Spreadsheet help !

Sounds similar to what I have. A weekly Excel log going back nearly 15 years giving me, amongst other things, rolling 52 week consumption.

However the word 'periodically' might complicate things.

Would be happy to have a look at your spreadsheet.

PM me if you want.

Re: Any ECE-approved Leaf DRL bulbs available?

I understand that the reason why LED retrofit light bulbs are not approved is that the individual LEDs would be in a different position to the filament in the traditional bulb. This the performance of the light might not be the same due to the precise aligning of the reflectors and fresnel (like) el...

Re: SO those A+ rated Philips Hue bulbs are now F or G !?

So the EU introduced new energy efficiency ratings for lamps. The new ones are much simpler as they are basically based on lumens per watt. Just like GCSE and A level grades, there has been lots of grade inflation/efficiency improvement and the new ratings take this into account as lamps which were ...

Re: Part ownership of a Wind Turbine, fancy it?

If I have reserved 900 watts, does anyone know if have to buy 900 watts or could I buy, say, 800 watts? A lot will depend on the P75 annual output per watt figure. It was 2.67 for WT1 and it might be expected to be higher for Scotland, but a high figure would decrease the amount of watts available w...
