Hi Richbee.
I guess that's a good option, I just wanted to see what my microinverter panels were producing.
That would free up the aux/generator port, but I wouldn't be able to run a dirty generator without turning off the grid if my understanding is correct. Is the aux port not grid tied?

Tinbum - I shall have a look through that forum link, but on first glance it seems to be well outside of my technical abilities!

Re: Sunsynk parallel connection - half on grid half off grid - possible?
So would I need canbus cables between the inverters? Or just from each inverter to the master battery?
As my generator is only 3kw, I was hoping to get a smaller sunsynk 3.6 even though it's not the same as my current. 5kw

Re: Sunsynk parallel connection - half on grid half off grid - possible?
Tinbum - that's a very valid point. Would the BMS not limit the charge though? I guess in the event of wanting to use the generator I could make sure the grid tied charge was turned off. It also begs the question if the grid tied inverter could still use the batteries whilst the off grid side charge...

Re: Balcony solar PV
Does anyone on here have a Sunsynk 5kw hybrid inverter? I've got a Deye microinverter that I'd like to feed into my setup with some power (1.5kw) from a new shed. This will be on top of the DC produced into the string inverter from the PV. Can this go into the aux/generator port and just add to the...

Sunsynk parallel connection - half on grid half off grid - possible?
Hi, I'm looking to setup a half on grid, half off grid parallel hybrid inverter to charge the batteries from a 3kw generator. I might also use some of the additional MPPT gained by the second inverter in the future, but only for battery top up. Picture of planned setup.... https://i.postimg.cc/PLZK7...

Re: Balcony solar PV
Thanks resybaby. I'm actually looking to export all of the microinverter production, but I'm glad that it's actually possible to connect them in the first place to the AUX port rather than having them on a seperate circuit.

Re: solar with batts,EV,HP,V2L,diverter.
This gets complicated. The modern house could be using solar with batts,EV,HP,V2L,diverter. My issue for the moment is not how you prioritise this in consumption terms but how does one physically wire it up to cater for these different connections. My next EV will have V2L, its not far off for ever...
