Dont forget hot water from a heat pump is not very hot. You would not be mixing any cold with it for a shower and it probably wouldnt melt the fat when your washing the dishes. Thats why they want a big tank.

Oh, looks like I just read somewhere that GO is now EV only?… so looks like that is out of the equation as I don’t have an EV. Looks like Octopus tracker or Agile is the only way to go then. Drax recieves 893 million pounds a year in subsidies paid for 100% by your electric bills. That is their business model. They will burn anything at any cost to the planet in order to recieve this kickback.

Not for your current situation Justme but general information about matching generators to off grid setups. If you have a dodgy generator of any type or voltage you can put a fullwave rectifier on the output to give you DC voltage. It could be a three phase generator with a 3 phase rectifier or a 11...

Indeed. I think we have close to 80 Bags for Life in our household. At least we dont throw them out to go to landfill, they are piled up everywhere. :shock: :shock:

Put a load on it, like an electric heater 2-3kw and then measure it.
