EDF submits its proposals for 4x EPR1200s for the Czech power sector. These would be "Version 2s" of the EPR design being built at HPC - lower output but apparently much simpler and cheaper to build. https://www.edf.fr/en/the-edf-group/dedicated-sections/journalists/all-press-releases/edf-...

Mercedes tests 1MW charging for its electric truck.
The charger pushed 1,242 amps at 806v to deliver 1,001.1 kW at 22% state-of-charge (SOC).

I think it's probably a result of undue influence of the petrochemical industry in Scotland - the only industry that would benefit from H2 heating is the fossil fuel extractors...

Thought this might amuse. Yesterday - last day of April, properly sunny for pretty much the first time this year. Office solar agreed. But also a very busy day in the studio - full day of filming, and we had 2x EVs on charge during working hours, and looks like we had a public EV charge session star...
