I noticed the other day that the Shelly plus 1PM are rated 230v +- 10%. However the switches are rated at 240V. I asked the question and was told that only the power supply for the electronics is rated at 230V+-10%. That begs the question are they suitable for the UK network. In our area on a windy day the voltage will be pushed nearer 250V and on a still night down to 230V. So in that case with a high voltage what is my risk with a switch only rated for 240V. I was going to use them for turning loads on/off as the sun comes in/out or in the event of grid failures. My voltage is usually above 240 on a sunny day as well.
I haven't really found any other talk about this issue.

Do you mean switches like this https://www.vesternet.com/products/shelly-wall-switch-4 ? AIUI they interface to the modules behind so the mains rating is that of the module. If not can you post a link?

I would suspect the 240 is a nominal figure to indicate they are suitable for the UK/EU market and nothing to worry about.

Shelly 1pm. Like this. I emailed support and they were clear that the power supply was the full range but the switches were only rated to 240v as per the spec.
I’ve seen too much about them not working with continuous 13amp load despite nothing mentioned about that being a problem in the spec.
I have a 13 amp load in the kitchen I want to switch on and off by WiFi which will be in most of the time. The 13 amp plugs are also not recommended. What do people use in this situation?

For high power like my storage heater, I use a standard WiFi socket which turns on a higher powered contactor.
