Thanks again for advice. I went with Custom Solar Solutions in Newton Abbott. They fitted a new Fox 3.6 kW string inverter. Good service professional job.....recommended. I sold the old Aurora for refurbishment to a chap in Axminster. He looks like a very good source for Aurora reconditioned units and has some Fronious kit too.
Even though it looks very straightforward I decided not to replace it myself. I'm pleased I did not.....
1. Custom are MCS accredited.
2. They notified the DNO of the replacement. Hope they don't have a fit. And that I do.
3. Custom found an earthing problem on the house supply that I would not have noticed. It was confirmed by National Grid. And fixed.

I have a WiFi range problem which means that I Can't see the inverter in the Fox app yet. However, that's a matter of setting up a mesh system to extend the reach. So technically, it's not fully installed yet. However, it started generating .....when the sun came out .

Good to hear you have got a satisfactory solution and that the install went well, lets hope the sun shines often and long in Devon so that you can enjoy the results! Third nice day in a row up here in N Wales, house has been off the bars since twenty past nine - very unusual for us at this time of the year.
