Woke up this morning to a flashing red light on the Hoymiles. My stomach dropped...

Turned out the complex power was off.

Fell back on ff to boil water and plugged in a battery pack to the network box. All was right with the world again!

That just underlines how the 5V battery system and 28W Solar panel are still needed. Lesson learned. :D

The ff free Al fresco kitchen had a test run last night, soy soaked sirloin steak with burnt garlic, honey & noodles. Went well, need some more permanent Solar lighting and right hand shelves. Will get into that after Cappadocia next week.

Must be the solar PV awareness kicking in. Just noticed another button on the washing machine (time delay). Did our first night rate wash. We have 3 rates here

07:00- 18:00 daytime
18:00-23:00 peak
23:00-07:00 night

Considering electricity flat rate is 3.04p per kWh I'm.not sure how much we'll save!

As ever the UK is up against the crap way final circuits have been wired since the war. The regulators need to get their heads together and decide if 6-800W extra for a few hours a day is actually a significant risk or merely theoretical.
Living the dream in Austria.
Uk property 3.75kW PV linked to 3kW inverter.

For any Hoymiles users. I have just checked No1 son's array and it looks like Hoymiles have changed access. Rather than having to go through the dtu connection I logged straight in via the installer app.

The total count for the system as shown is inaccurate so I can only assume they've had a reboot of the app a few months ago? On my counter No1 is approaching 0.75MWh. :D

Currently in the process of upgrading the Hoymiles panels that were laying flat on tyres to getting a proper frame.

Little project with the wee one when she got back from school. Will hopefully finish this tomorrow.

Drilled and secured both panels together. Will then secure the panels to the frame with 3d printed clamps.
Taken a screenshot of the general performance for the month.

Finally up...
A few tweaks to complete. Move a bit further away from conservatory and mount Hoymiles to back of frame.
Hoping this nets a few more kilowatts during the day compared to just laying flat in the corner.

Nice one, mind and spike it into the ground. Wouldn't want to see it flip.over in the wind.

Yep I can tell you that don’t work out well, l when the panels and frame set off up the drive at twenty plus mph, got a frosted glass solar panel to prove it too :hysteria:
