Astra 2 Satellites. The satellite alignment should be at 28.2E.
Astra 1 Satellites.align the dish to19.2E

Will try and get a life one day.

Cheers Iain, it'll be next week before I finish it. I'm very interested in seeing how the differing angles and orientation affect the daily take. I'm hoping to move it twice per year once I find the goldilocks spots so will likely screw it down to deck. The 20mtrs of cable is a just in case I discover an epic sweetspot on the lawn! Finished the day making up the skids themselves. Happy Saturday folks! :)

Cable arrived and we now have a movable 3 panel ground mount. Skids easily on deck with one person and we'll see how it plays out for gains in daily take. Enjoyed that! :)

Once I've played about a bit and see if the gains are worthwhile we should be able to trim the strut leg length and then the skid length to cut down on overall footprint.

Looking good Joe, also gives added privacy for any hot tub skinny dipping, should such a thing happen in Aberdeenshire!

Jings crivens help ma boab!

Gotta say, this was an almost pointless exercise with regard to anticipated gains. Yet when I grabbed a side of the newly mobile array and slewed it around, it was brilliant!

Fortunately we had the timber from reclaiming along with the screws and solar power for all the battery op'd tools

I guess my point is that for no cost whatsoever and a couple of bits of time & Classic fm listening I have grabbed a few extra kW's..

And not a single view of my bare bum, praise be to Jebus.

Careful JB it gets addictive just popping out and making minor adjustments chasing a few more watts got to say though it’s very satisfying getting so much from so few panels.

The movable array will definitely come to the fore in the shoulder months but even in mid summer I’m sure you will find a good use for those extra electrons

In Winter I'll be able to skid it all the way forward on deck corner to avoid hedge shading. As is now it let's swmbo allow me to live so we're doing OK!

I'm about to decommission my winter panels on the decking area until they are needed again come September.

Have you done anything special to make it faster to connect up and disconnect each year?
