Fintray & I are fortunate in that it doesnt make it as far inland as us. In saying that, on a couple of days a year if it all aligns, I can smell the sea and I'm about 16 miles from the coast.nowty wrote: ↑Fri Apr 15, 2022 4:41 pmI'm afraid the sea breezes bring it onshore in your part of the woods.

Re: Corner turned
It does mean that it can be very nice on the west coast though! We were planning a holiday exploring the east coast, but son warned us off because of the haar. We went to Mull instead and had an idyllic week or more, sunny and a minimal easterly breeze, so warm and dry and a flat calm for visiting Fingal's cave, an idyllic holiday - and a good job we were camping with no reservations made rather than being stuck in B&Bs we couldn't change. (Diabolical midges at the campsite just S of Oban before we sailed west though!)
Mild but overcast here most of the day.

A little mist shouldn't distract from the East Coast. I continue to find new places to enjoy. Cairngorm national park is fantastic west & east coast plus the run right up the middle. Then there's the nc500, although I'd do that in the off-season to avoid the crowds.AE-NMidlands wrote: ↑Fri Apr 15, 2022 5:08 pmIt does mean that it can be very nice on the west coast though! I don't think many of those count as east coast, though. If I go on holiday it's to walk in and explore the local area, not spend hours driving round the rest of the country!Joeboy wrote: ↑Fri Apr 15, 2022 5:51 pm A little mist shouldn't distract from the East Coast. I have done the whole of the north and east by road (before it had a badge) but taking about a month. Well worth going, but not to spend a fortnight [camping] cold, damp and shivering in the haar.

Just finished generating for the day at just over 61 kWh which is typically as good as it gets even in May / June / July.

Re: Corner turned
Yesterday we managed 9 kWh as it was overcast all day but much nicer today and we’ve finally joined the rest of the uk with sunshine
The baby is enjoying some vitamin D in the annex porch with his Nanny looking over him - being early he’s got a touch of jaundice so this is just what he needs

Gripping on at the end, 1kW still coming in!
A decent 23kWh+ day nonetheless. HWT roasting, washing machine 3 times, 20 miles into car and stack at 80%+., good days!
The WS is on (in the evening and gentle), the house is at a marvelous 22 deg and all is well here. I hope the same can be said for all you guys large and small including Young Freddie, smallest member, doing his own solar thang.

Re: Corner turned
Slightly down on yesterdays 61+, so close to 60 kWh but no dice, opposite to marshman, here it was warmer and less wind.
