Just been over to No1's house. It is warm as I walked in the door. Just the other side of neutral yet noticeable.



For the lads who have bought into Hoymiles gear for the quality and longterm reliability I can say. Don't sweat it on the app. The unit will output on connection and a £24 meter will keep the count and momentary output.

Sure you can register when abroad and why not but only if you are over there anyway. As we know, the bits that matters is the local star energy conversion. Every time I look down the garden I am smiling

I love to take things that appear to have outlived and turn them back on. An example of this is that SWMBO paid for both the Enphase micro's and the Sharp panels with cash generated from her small-scale secondhand furniture upcycling which i assist at.

She ponies up the cash, I bring a tiny brain, she helps with the solar job then I pay her back on the 5th when I pay myself. How cool is that?

Just been back down, winds picking up, sun is hiding yet between the 3 panels there's a 28V DC 1 Amp incoming. That is epic. (30W). The 3 orange production led lights on the Enphase are very nice to see.

Joe, just looking at the earlier photos and admiring your work, one thing not clear from the photo was where the cables go through a piece of pipe into the shed.

Is that pipe sealed to stop water running down the cables and into the shed - I’m guessing that you have this all covered but in the interests of not assuming and you having a flood next time it rained I thought I should check.

I would love a shed that I could actually get in to and work without tripping over kids tractors, carriers trikes etc etc

Set up looks fine JB and the shed is tidy enough to be purposeful and not a show room!

The Hoymiles installer app does not work by changing the VPN to Holland for example as it still requires your GPS location.
No way to circumvent this. They will detect you are in the UK.

You have to be in a European country to set up the app

I tried this yesterday using a computer android emulator. The WiFi was set to Holland but was still unsuccessful.
It may have been the emulator I was using though.

I am asking a friend in Holland to see if he can set up the account on his phone for me when he gets back to land.
If this works ... jackpot.
He isn't back on land until tomorrow though

If this doesn't work, I will wait I til he goes over to Germany. I will get an answer ... just not yet.
