Best Generation on 1722 x 1134 PV panel

#1

Post by Snuggy »

I was just narrowing down my quotes, and pretty much from day one have been with the 625 aikos. However one supplier has come out of left field and got and extra 2kw out of the roof by using 1 722 x 1 134 panel. I dont think the make is particularly enticing, so am looking for suggestions I can take back for a requote. What make would you use if you were limited to those dimensions?

Thank you

Ha! I did exactly the same earlier NB....googled dims and it came up. Got all excited and then pulled the data sheet. They must be using some keywords that pull them up to the top!

Just under 14p/kWp incl VAT for a top end panel and free delivery is extraordinary. Three years ago I paid at least twice that rate, plus delivery, and that was the best price on the market for top end panels.

I went slightly larger on 3 of 535W longi panels. They were close to project size perfect at 2094mm x 1134mm. A hell of a noticeable generation lift especially in.poor conditions. Certainly look and perform well so another+1 for longi from me 16.2p per Wp. Also for city plumbing, my third panel purchase from them.

This one?
13.83p per Wp

You lose out on the % efficiency a touch but the price is excellent.I'm not sure chasing peak Wattage is worth it in comparison to the price benefit. Although entirely dependent on personal circumstances and expandability. I'm not sure what the current module efficiency average is in the stack em high sell em cheap sector? I DO like that sector though!

As it is now its a 5% gain in theoretical output for a very real 23% price hike to go from 410W to 430W. Same panel manufacturer and model.
19.2kW PV SE, VI, HM, EN & DW
Ripple 7kW WT & Gen to date 19MWh
42kWh LFPO4 storage
95kWh Heater storage
12kWh 210ltr HWT.
73kWh HI5
Deep insulation, air leak ct'd home
Zoned GCH & Hive 2
WBSx2
Low energy bulbs
Veg patches & fruit trees
