Apparantly the highest number of certified installations in the UK based on Local authority areas.
Missing my two 'under the radar' A2A heat pumps though

Cornwall is going to hit the problem that parts of Australia have: too much residential solar when the sun shines! They can't send it to the rest of the country either because the grid connection is too weedy...

Glad to see Aberdeenshire in that article coming in at 5th place with only 46% of the population of Cornwall.

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but isn't this where batteries comes in, after all most PV quotes seem to have a storage battery accompaniment within these days.

I seem to recall from somewhere, although i cant remember exactly where, that Wadebridge currently has this issue. I'll have to do a bit more digging, but im sure i heard somewhere that there was an eco7 type tarriff availible in Wadebridge that operated during the daytime, as they couldnt get rid of the power elsewhere due to grid issues.

i thought that too Fintray, amazing to see a location so much further north considering the other areas mentioned are all down the southern part of the uk. Excellent stuff.

The vast majority of FiT installs have no battery so that is the majority of the existing MCS installs. Solar/battery installations tend to involve a small battery that is full by mid-morning on the sunniest days whereafter the power is dumped into the grid...
This is why Greg (CEO of Octopus) is always talking about the need for localised electricity prices!
