Currently needing a reel of certified cable & plugs.

Am I as well to buy direct from china these days for plugs (or too many shonky sellers)?

For this sort of thing I’d go to your local CEF or similar. Sure you can probably get it cheaper online but shipping is so expensive that there is little overall benefit.

Not used them for solar cable, as had no need, but very good for SWR.

Ref " Currently needing a reel of certified cable & plugs. "

Why buy plugs / sockets. I had lots of plug / socket failures / catch fire.
They were all first cut off. Soldered and taped on the first system 17 years ago.
On my new systems since then they get cut off on install. Never had a panel fail.

This is interesting, I am in year 5 and not had a failure yet. I wonder if the spec/quality has changed over those 17 years or if there were cheaper batches going about back then? Hands up who has had MC4 failures and if so when?
Year 5, 0 failures.
