Many thanks, Nowty. I'm sure this will be a useful resource, especially as it probably encourages everyone that reads the updates to perhaps try and do a bit more. I would love to be able to go completely off-grid, but it's a heck of a difficult thing to do without wind or hydro, I think.
25 off 250W Perlight solar panels, installed 2014, with a 6kW PowerOne inverter, about 6,000kWh/year generated
6 off Pylontech US3000C batteries, with a Sofar ME3000SP inverter

Hi Nowty,

I've mentioned these figures in various places, but ust to sumarise in a single place and alow you to check easily, we have:

3.3kWp PV panels south facing

430L themal store heater by ASHP & Eddi (twin immersions)

UFH with 22tonnes of S&C screed.

It's a small contribution compared to others' but you can put me down for 5kWh of batteries! Hopefully some PV generation to follow...

Its already on there.
16.9kW PV > 107MWh generated
Ripple 6.6kW Wind + 4.5kW PV > 22MWh generated
5 Other RE Coop's
105kWh EV storage
60kWh Home battery storage
40kWh Thermal storage
GSHP + A2A HP's
Rain water use > 510 m3

I don't think I'm on your list.

Poorly sited 1 kW PV system (call it 7-800 kWh per year I guess) and a 68 kWh EV

You are !, but I guessed 900 kWh for your PV and 69kWh for your EV.
List updated.

You'd be surprised how few of the 101 actually know.

It was 900 when on stilts at the end of my garden. It's taken a big hit moving to the garage roof. 96 kWh for the EV could be correct. It's a Volvo XC40 (single motor).

I'm liking the detective work BTW!

Update time and a first for the new year 2023, 8-)

Only 4 more members since the last update but surprising how existing members are installing more solar, batteries, replacing their ICE cars with EV's, etc. Or simply fessing up or me doing more detective work. Energy storage has gone nuts and must still be significantly understated.

And I reckon when Ripple project 3 gets going we will be knocking close to that mythical 1GWh door of annual generation, who'd have thought that.

In an average year 105 Camelot members will generate 537 MWh of renewable electricity onsite and 183 MWh remotely.

Onsite Generation
PV - 493 MWh
Wind - 42 MWh
Hydro - 2 MWh
Total - 537 MWh

Remote Generation via Coop's
Ripple WT1 - 40 MWh
Ripple WT2 - 139 MWh
Hydro - 4 MWh
Total - 183 MWh

Annual Generation TOTAL - 720 MWh (Or average per member 6.85 MWh)

AND

The same 105 Camelot members have a combined 3,733 kWh of onsite Energy Storage capacity. :geek:

Home Batteries – 1,233 kWh
EV Batteries - 1,777 kWh
Hot Water Storage - 465 kWh
Thermal Mass Storage - 258 kWh
Energy Storage Capacity TOTAL - 3,733 kWh (or average per member 35.5 kWh)

Keep em coming, there must be more of you out there generating and storing.
Publicly reply to this thread or PM me with your PV (kW installed or annual kWh), Ripple project, Co-op or other generation.

And now EVs, hotwater and thermal mass storage.
EVs - gross battery size or even EV model if you don't know.
Hot Water / thermal stores - Tank size in litres.
Storage heaters - max capacity (kWh), power model (W) or even brand / model numbers.
Under floor heating - mass or volume of concrete slab.
16.9kW PV > 107MWh generated
Ripple 6.6kW Wind + 4.5kW PV > 22MWh generated
5 Other RE Coop's
105kWh EV storage
60kWh Home battery storage
40kWh Thermal storage
GSHP + A2A HP's
Rain water use > 510 m3
