May Generation 2025

#1

Post by AE-NMidlands »

Now the sun has gone down I have the final figure from my W-facing system: 580 kWh, 115% of the prediction and almost 128 kWh per kWp. What a month!
In fact this year has averaged 109.5% of the predicted amounts compared with 90.4% for all 2024. This year the lowest month (Feb) was 99%, last year the highest (June) was 99%...
2.0 kW/4.62 MWh pa in Ripples, 4.5 kWp W-facing pv, 9.5 kWh Givenergy batt
30 solar thermal tubes, 2MWh pa in Stockport, plus Congleton and Kinlochbervie Hydros,
Most travel by bike, walking or bus/train. Veg, fruit - and Bees!

Last May was my highest ever monthly generation at 1637 kWh, then it was broken in June last year at 2059 kWh.

(nowtyrecord)
This month is now a new monthly generation PB at 2339 kWh.

My energy bill from Octopus this month is a negative bill of over £290  with over 2700 kWh exported, only issue is they have billed me for my import but not yet paid me for export.
19.6kW PV > 116MWh generated
Ripple 6.6kW Wind + 4.5kW PV > 34MWh generated
7 Other RE Coop's
105kWh EV storage
90kWh Home battery storage
40kWh Thermal storage
GSHP + A2A HP's
Rain water use > 530 m3

Work array generated 1.54MWh in May, a record, which follows record generation in April, March and Feb. Ok I know this is only year 3 of the system, but still!

Flippin eck. So you're exporting about 90kWh per day. You must be 'greening' the whole neighbourhood. :praise:
8.7kWp PV [2.12kWp SSW + 4.61kWp ESE PV + 2.0kWp WNW PV]
Two BEV's.
Two small A2A heatpumps.
20kWh Battery storage.

Do the neighbours realise they're living next door to a massive power station?!

Sunsynk system 853Kwh - all time record month
Hoymiles mancave system 131kWh

Almost in touching distance of the magic 1MWh - would have got there too, if it wasn't for those pesky meddling voltage drop outs with the hoymiles system
Solar PV since July '22:
5.6kWp east/west facing
3.6kW Sunsynk hybrid inverter
2x 5.12kWh Sunsynk batteries
1.6kWp Hoymiles East/West facing PV on the man cave
Ripple DW 2kW
Ripple WB 200W

FIT system = 605.6
Synsynk system = 53.7

Synsynk shuts down automatically when my batteries are full, hence low outputs in good weather. I really really need to sort out an export contract given i have 4.0kw export ability.
