I have two systems, an original FIt and a Sunsynk hybrid add on system that is all definately AC coupled, but honestly have no idea how its its all 'coupled' up together via the four consumer units i have. Two are clearly mini CU's connecting each PV system up individually, and two CU's are my original units, with all the houses circuits. Ive tried tracing the visible wiring but it makes no real sense to me.
The MCS electrician fitting the secondary Sunsynk added a couple of Henly blocks between all the CU's but quite what is now connected to what there i dont understand and cannot see.
I do know however that only the Sunsynk system charges my batteries, not the FIT, unless i select the option on my Sunsynk invertor that allows a 'microinvertor' to be run through the Sunsynk invertor - once this option is selected Synsynk 'catches' the FIT systems generation and puts both systems power into the btteries (upto the invertors 5kw ish maximum).
If the 'microinvertor' option is not selected the FIT power just 100% goes back to the grid.
Has driven me crackers trying to work it out, butbas you gents say is a huge waste of potential.
