At last I’ve got mine set up. Not sure if their’s a bug in the android app.

On my android phone the app doesn’t ask for Bluetooth permission. (I had looked in Bluetooth settings to see if that could have been the problem but couldn’t find anything). When I then tried to set it up with my wife’s ‘I’ phone it did ask and it connected up straight away.

Still waiting for the app to change.

I'm trying to get the data via API and came across this.

My new Smart Meter is 100mts from the house and the IHD supplied didn't work at 1mt so I've been bending the ears of Octopus's complaints ladies.
Today a requested Mini turned up, it talks to the meter through a steel clad wall, connected to WiFi after a password request and does what it said on the tin.
Absolutely Bl**dy brilliant.
Nice one Octopus.

Congratulations. It does what it says on the tin, which is rare these days. Occasionally I get the wind turbine of doom or the stork delivering the baby octopus but I can live with a bit of delay.

I have a Shelly energy meter, so hoping it equals that in accuracy

Worth a shot,
As the info comes directly from your smart meter it tells you what you are being charged for, which is more useful than being accurate.
15.2kW PV > 100MWh generated
Ripple 6.6kW Wind + 4.5kW PV > 19MWh generated
5 Other RE Coop's
105kWh EV storage
60kWh Home battery storage
40kWh Thermal storage
GSHP + A2A HP's
Rain water use > 490 m3

I have found the greatest benefit to be the (OM) live update which let's me know when my other metering devices are lagging or just speaking nonsense. I have found it improves the ability to remote control the house without or at least massively lowering the risk of grid draw.

73kWh HI5

Ah didn’t appreciate that, that sounds good for letting others in the house know the consumption based on the equipment they use!
