April was a bit of a changeable month, some superb days with mild dross in between.
Still, generation ticks upwards and grid import was restricted to the little import you get when the inverter is a little sluggish to react.

The big change for me was the changing over to a bigger DIY battery bank, perfect for soaking up more generation.
Combining that with a very cheap upgrade to a 6kW Solis inverter means there's a lot more scope for more relaxed self-consumption.
Heating via gas was replaced with direct electric heating but a heat pump and UVC are definitely on the list for summer.

April was a good month - 528kWh generated, against a PVGIS estimate of 490 :D

However still imported 140kWh and exported 190 kWh - hoping I can reduce both import and export now that my 2nd battery is installed and working
Solar PV since July '22:
5.6kWp east/west facing
3.6kW Sunsynk hybrid inverter
2x 5.12kWh Sunsynk batteries
1.6kWp Hoymiles East/West facing PV on the man cave
Ripple DW 2kW

North Wales west faced array 360kWh for the month plus another 42 for the mobile array's - plenty for us to be able to direct some free electric to the EV as well as keep the house batteries topped up.

Annoyingly my electric supplier just wrote to me to put the DD up based on my consumption ? I have adjusted it down by the allowed 10% and after this months payment I will call and ask for 50% of my credit balance to be returned to me so that I can benefit from the interest it will earn rather than them - I read this week that the big six are holding around 7 billion pounds of credit in their accounts - and they talk of "gaming2 the system ?

Cheeky so and so's
