4kw FIT system yielded 289.7
5.45kw Sunsynk yielded 231.8

Old FIT system outpaced the Sunsynk as Sunsynk shuts down once batteries are filled and only pops on again if they drop or high load made on the system.

My 4kW FIT system managed 215kWh and my 1.8kW DIY addition only 75kWh and this similarly is because I limit the battery charger on the 1.8kW system to go to absorption at 54.5V, which I think is conservative.

My home brewed solar diverter heats the top of the DHW tank once 54.2V is reached but the 1500W element coupled with the internal resistance of the battery is not enough to prevent the voltage rising and charger cutting back to absorption in bright weather between 10:00 and 15:00 GMT after end of February.

I shall re jig the immersion to heat the whole 100 litres now we have surplus.

Solaredge 239kWh
Victron 261kWh
Enphase WS 30.6kWh
Enphase HT 1.3kWh
Graig Fatha WT 684 kwh
No1's Hoymiles 45kWh

1,261kWh RE generation minus 45kWh No1's Hoymiles = 1216kWh solo home gen.

2,083kWh electricity bought from grid is 36.36% self generated RE in the monthly mix & Zero gas or liquid fuels. :)

Sadly the split has went backwards which I put down to a full 8 days of very weak solar generation and quite a lot of EV adventuring in March, two Edinburgh trips which is 4 full charges or 280kWh's on its own.

In the end we were 1.8% behind on Solar gen compared to March 23 but a resounding 31% ahead on GF WT generation.

No1's place on which we are waiting for an appointment to change to a smart meter has landed a 15.73% score for self reliance in the energy game. That is purely from his two panel Hoymiles system. He'll be on the KH scoreboard soon enough too. 8-)

Hopefully hear from Moxi soon on Welsh generation for March but we never can tell in these things. :o
16.6kW PV SE, VI, HM, EN & DW
Ripple 7kW WT & Gen to date 11MWh
42kWh LFPO4 storage
95kWh Heater storage
12kWh 210ltr HWT.
73kWh HI5
Deep insulation, air leak ct'd home
Zoned GCH & Hive 2
WBSx2
Low energy bulbs
Veg patches & fruit trees

No generator needed last month, and we now regularly have excess solar.

March:

Solar: 394 kWh
Diesel Generator: 0 kWh!
Consumption: 309 kWh

System Efficiency: 394kWh - 309kWh = 78%

Last Month (February):

Solar: 231kWh
Diesel Generator: 53kWh (Only run 3 times)
Consumption: 228kWh

System Efficiency: (231kWh+53kWh) = 284kWh - 228kWh = 80%
38m Barge, Solar (10.6 kWp), 26 kWh of LFP, Victron Quattro 8 kVA, CerboGX, 3,500L STP, 57kVa Perkins

A poor start to the month but with some good days towards the end. Sadly the lack of consistent production meant grid charging was greater than March 2023.

190 kWh, a bit less than the 223 my quotation suggested.
Grid import 13 (mostly partial recharges at 2 a.m) export 45, so not unsatisfactory. (Gas still 1700 kWh though.)
2.0 kW/4.62 MWhr pa in Ripples, 4.5 kWp W-facing pv, 9.5 kWhr batt
30 solar thermal tubes, 2MWhr pa in Stockport, plus Congleton and Kinlochbervie Hydros,
Most travel by bike, walking or bus/train. Veg, fruit - and Bees!

March was a strange month - I was convinced mid-month that I would be way below target, due lots of horrible grey, wet days - but a few really good days at the end almost got me back on target.

Sunsynk 5.6kWp system - 308kWh vs 310kWh PVGIS - 329kWh last year

Hoymiles Mancave 0.87kWp system - 47kWh (still haven't got round to fitting the other 2 panels - will have to wait til the rain stops again)
Solar PV since July '22:
5.6kWp east/west facing
3.6kW Sunsynk hybrid inverter
2x 5.12kWh Sunsynk batteries
1.6kWp Hoymiles East/West facing PV on the man cave
Ripple DW 2kW
