April Generation 2024

4kw FIT system yielded 378.0
5.45kw Sunsynk yielded 222.8

Old FIT system outpaced the Sunsynk as Sunsynk shuts down once batteries are filled and only pops on again if they drop or high load made on the system, expect the Sunsynk system to 'decline' in output as the sunshine improves and the FIT output increases.

Nowty, A friend, not yet on here, but likely soon has just commisioned a self installed 3.6kw Ecco Sunsynk invertor and 4kw of panels, 15kwh Fogstar battery ordered and awaiting delivery. All up and running and switched on last week, not sure if this can be added to the 'associate' list of producers - likely all power to be self consumed as quite a heavy user.

Solaredge 393kWh
Victron 337kWh
Enphase WS 28kWh
Enphase HT 6.2kWh
No1's Hoymiles 55kWh
Graig Fatha WT 689 kwh

1,508kWh RE generation minus 55kWh No1's Hoymiles = 1453kWh solo home gen.

659kWh electricity bought from grid for our place is 68.8% self generated RE in the monthly mix & Zero gas or liquid fuels. :)

Great to see home solar outstripping wind generation again.

No1's place on which we are waiting for an appointment to change to a smart meter has landed a 16.76% score for self reliance in the energy game from his two panel Hoymiles system. He is now on the Kirkhill scoreboard too. Albeit for one unpaid day.
16.6kW PV SE, VI, HM, EN & DW
Ripple 7kW WT & Gen to date 11MWh
42kWh LFPO4 storage
95kWh Heater storage
12kWh 210ltr HWT.
73kWh HI5
Deep insulation, air leak ct'd home
Zoned GCH & Hive 2
WBSx2
Low energy bulbs
Veg patches & fruit trees

April:

Solar: 680 kWh
Consumption: 577kWh

System efficiency: 85% < Efficiency has gone up now we have loads of excess DC coupled solar generation. We're also using excess solar for electric heating top up, hence the consumption is much more than otherwise normal. The Sun has really turned a corner here for us last month.

Last Month (March):

Solar: 394 kWh
Diesel Generator: 0 kWh!
Consumption: 309 kWh

System Efficiency: 394kWh - 309kWh = 78%
38m Barge, Solar (10.6 kWp), 26 kWh of LFP, Victron Quattro 8 kVA, CerboGX, 3,500L STP, 57kVa Perkins

Not quite as good a month as last year, down 30kWh vs 2023.
Saying that, PV contribution was still 94% of house usage - the fan heater has been on a fair bit this month to soak up the excess PV whilst it was still cold.

10x 405W JA Solar panels (4.05kWp) @ 5 degrees
3x 405W Longi panels (1.22kWp) @ 90 degrees
