Absolutely my thought this morning Iain. Battery is sitting at 35% so hoping for another low grid month as a few weeks out in Turkey.

How much does your house use while you're away?

I guess there is a lot for the storage heaters/DHW even on dullish days...
12x 340W JA Solar panels (4.08kWp)
3x 380W JA Solar panels (1.14kWp)
6x 2.4kWh Pylontech batteries (14.4kWh)
LuxPower inverter/charger

(Artist formally known as ******, well it should be obvious enough to those for whom such things are important.)

I think the average is around 90-120 kW per hour. Although we give our son free reign in our absence. Washing machine TD , cooking etc He lives close by and I like to spread the RE quality!

We holiday mode the prop so all CH & HWT is off but I'll charge EV, HWT and laterally home as we progress towards return and PV. This we do via Hive. Also have a resistive heater on standby in bedroom via Hive plug for our return. Switch on at 2am when landing in Edinburgh and crash out in the heat on arrival. :)
