I bought myself a Topdon TC001 last Friday as it had a decent discount .

That has 256X192 resolution. I had a Flir one Pro back in 2020 but ended up selling it. I've been wanting another ever since.

Comparing the Topdon to the Flir, my main thing is the 25 Hz is really noticeable. However, the MSX feature on the Flir made the images quite visually appealing.

My main issue with the Flir was the inbuilt battery which gave me long term reliability concerns and was another thing to charge.

I'm not sure what you mean. Google is also failing me.

Potentially the same as the Infiray.

"The Topdon could easily be using either the Tiny1-x or TIMO 256. You have found references to Infisense in the app so the Tiny1-x core looks to be the most likely candidate for the core. " ( https://www.eevblog.com/forum/thermal-i ... ussion/75/ )

Here's a github where a guy has made software to run the camera off a raspberry pi.

You can see the dot and dab clearly here.

It's interesting that the air bricks are warmer.

I own Seek Compact Pro add-on camer (USB-C). It has 320x240 native resolution and manual twist focus. I think it is a pro that it is add-on type vs self contained devices. It is very lightweight and if dropped no big deal. But if the actual dedicated unit or a phone gets damaged then the WHOLE thing will likely need replacing. Using and sharing the photos is easy on the phone you are used to. Yes the resolution could be better (it is never enough) but 320x240 is actually usable.
