EDF to bring 300MW of BESS online

Was I the only one to notice the probable error in this headline? 300MW? Surely it’s 300MWh? Power stations are rated by power output, which is a continuous measure. Storage should be correctly described - IMO of course ……

I think this has been raised before, iirc one opinion is that since it will be a source of power then the power should be quoted. I tend o agree with you that the energy content shold be quoted, but quoting both would make things clearest as has been done wth the Iron-Air thread.

They make it hard to work out but its in MWp for 2 hours so its 313MWp and 626MWh capacity.

Thanks for that. They probably use the same “communication” team as the price cap mob?
