Per the spec sheet, the maximum recommended continuous charge rate for US5000s is 50 amps. 100amps for short periods

Note this is per battery and thus two batteries in parallel can be charged at 100amps etc.

From what I can see, it is more or less prorata for US2500 and US3500.

Hi John
Thanks for this, but unfortunately I'm not very technical with how this works, I'm good with bricks and timber but all this stuff goes over my head.
When I look at the inverter screen I can see the charge in kWh but not amps so was hoping that someone with a Solis inverter could tell be what the optimum kW charge rate is.
Prior to the Solis upgrade last week I was it was changing from the grid at around 1.7kWh, but that wasn't enough to fully charge the batteries and now it's even less.

That 1.7kWh (going by my rough calcs) would suggest your batteries are charging at about 32A.

How do you get that without knowning the time it took to do that 1.7kWh? :pot-stir:

Easy, you assume (yes I know!) that it took 1 hour, if it took 2 hours then halve the current etc. etc.... :D

Have you got the Solis App? You set the charge and discharge rates in Amps on it.
I think it is the same, doing it on the inverter screen, but much more fiddly.

Hi John
I have the Solis Cloud app but don't see any way of changing settings on it. I've always thought it pointless, as it seems so limited.
