I’m not sure if setting it to 15 amps helps because it knows you can charge at 32amps, however I think you will have got an earlier schedule if you had put ready by 4am as that is how it works on car integration.

I don't have personal experience. However I am informed that you can tell the charging point you have whatever EV you like, eg a 120kWh Merc EQS. And you can tell the charging point whatever you like about the state of charge, so even if the car is on 75% you can tell the app you need to add 60% by morning. Octopus will then chose a charging plan accordingly...

Like I say, no personal experience, just what I hear...

(BTW what cars are you looking at? No option to keep the TM3?)
The extra schedules have been really helpful so I’ll swap the model 3 for a TMY LR. It’s even cheaper than the lease we did 4 years.
I plug the TM3 into a granny charger and charge at 5 amps which helps with the schedules

Hmmm...

Just got first bill since going to IOG.

Seems like the "gaming" didn't work!

Looks like I only got charged cheap rate when the car was actually "charging". Not when I requested a charging schedule and it was plugged in and within the scheduled slot as got charged full rate.

Well that was a complete waste of effort hehe

Octopus did an update this week and the SoC in the car controls the schedule now, so if you turn the battery the battery % down in the Tesla app it alters the octopus % to the same soc

I've got an Ohme ePod.... And MG4.

It always gives me a decent schedule.... Just that I thought that during the slot you got cheap rate. Alas it looks like even after I get a slot, unless the car is actually charging (not just plugged in) it costs peak rate.

The octopus app is controlling the car charging but no schedule appears in the app :head-bang:

I have tried all those settings, it wont give me a schedule whatever I try.
I’ll disconnect it when I get home, however octopus is controlling the charging, it’s just not showing a schedule.
I turn it off on the car and it re-starts the charging

I’ve just tried. Can’t get one either. Maybe it is broken? This is the time of year when lots of people with big solar arrays swap from Flux to IOG so maybe the system is overwhelmed?

I’ve just raised a query with octopus support, they have sent it to the smart charge department.
