Hi

Any developments on using the Lux N-E link box?

I would like to fit one of these to make my system safer.

Fitted and working, not much more to report. It provides the N-E bond when in island mode to my system. Grid isolation is achieved via 3 position switch.

I prefer a manual switchover rather than automated, so I have the 2nd position of switch as both EPS and Grid off.

It's pretty basic but well made. The physical layout is a it lazy through as having the input and output on two sides makes it unusual to mount with gear that has all that on a bottom edge.

I've not tested the "graceful" eps overload prodcudure, I don't have much that could trip the inverter. Maybe one day I'll try charge the EV from the eps and see what happens. It's meant to do it in a compliant way but I doubt it does.

Without one, I think the lux units cap available eps wattages anyway.

I also haven't tested it when in off grid mode with a full battery and alot of PV input. I expect it will load shed or not be able to provide loads - this is what makes true "off grid" inverters so distinct.
